The significance of focusing on families in the context of BPD cannot be understated. With the disorder's core symptoms deeply intertwined with interpersonal relationships, the impact on family members is profound. Dr. Hoffman's foreword serves as a call to action for greater recognition of the essential role families play in supporting individuals with BPD.
